Important Safety Notice: Precautionary Replacement of Brake Pads

Following intensive investigation of initial information from our partner, Tektro, a deviation from our quality standard has been confirmed, specifically concerning brake pads on certain Kalkhoff E-bikes.

The basis for this safety notice is a recent report from our supplier: A process review has identified that brake pads from specific batches have an increased risk of reduced adhesion between the brake pad and the backing plate. The brake pad could potentially detach from the brake carriers, thus failing to meet our high-quality standards. Although the components meet the internal minimum standards set by the manufacturer, Tektro, tests show lower durability compared to regularly produced batches.
