Autumn 2011: ExtraEnergy rates the Kalkhoff Pro Connect C8 as "Very Good". According to the ExtraEnergy testers, this classic rose easily to the challenge. "Its close resemblance to a bicycle and excellent riding performance with power boost earn the Pro Connect C8 an easy 'Very Good' in the Easy Pedelec category," reads the test verdict. In particular, ExtraEnergy also praise the long range on touring routes and in urban traffic, the powerful assistance on hills, the direct motor activation by power sensor and subtle cut-off at the threshold value. Kalkhoff only just failed to defend its title as "Test Winner" in the Easy category, but was still delighted at the extremely positive overall results of this year's test. Kalkhoff and ExtraEnergy agree on one thing: "The Pro Connect C8 is definitely the right choice for trend-setting city dwellers who want to get ahead fast."

A total of 36 electric bikes were tested. Five of those in the Easy Pedelec group were rated as "Very Good".
